Dow Oxygenated Solvents are used as dye-bath additives in the textile dye-bath market to achieve such properties as:

  • Proper shade
  • Level dyeing
  • Colorfastness
  • Reduced dyeing temperatures and cycles

The choice of oxygenated solvent depends on the type of dye and fabric. The following products are the most frequently used in dye formulations because of such properties as slow evaporation rates, penetrating ability, low surface tension, and low viscosity:
