Electrodeposition

In the automotive industry, the electrodeposition process is the standard for applying primer coatings. It is also widely used for coating office furniture and appliances.

Dow Oxygenated Solvents are a critical component of an electrodeposition system and play two roles:

• Active solvent for the resins in the resin cook
  
• Coalescing aid to enhance proper film formation during coating cure
